College Preparatory Mathematics
GMS uses Core Connections math curriculum. Core Connections is a three-year sequence of courses designed to prepare students for a rigorous college preparatory algebra course. It uses a problem-based approach with concrete models. The course helps students develop multiple strategies to solve problems and recognize the connections between concepts. The lessons in the course meet all of the content standards and embed the “Mathematical Practices” of the Common Core State Standards.
California State Standards
GMS staff ensure that all academic courses are aligned with California State Standards. For a comprehensive listing of state standards, visit http://www.cde.ca.gov. In addition, a detailed overview of the Common Core Standards can be seen at http://www.corestandards.org/.
