The safety and well-being of all students is a priority at Azusa Unified. The staff and administration strive to maintain a safe and secure campus that focuses on the personal safety of each student. The school has a plan to ensure the safety of students during any emergency. Safety drills are conducted regularly. Emergency equipment, supplies, and communication equipment are kept on site.
It is essential that emergency contact information is current. Emergency contacts must be completed through our online data confirmation process every year. This information is used to notify parents in the event of injury, illness, or emergency. The primary phone number should be the one you will answer. In addition to yourself, please include at least three contacts whom you authorize to pick up your student. Please log into your parent portal and update your contacts during the school year. The Thurston staff prints emergency contact information for use in our Disaster Preparedness Program.
In the event of a lockdown or disruption to the normal school day, the first priority of staff is to ensure student safety. When necessary and when it is safe to do so, school or District staff will send an all-call or text message update regarding the incident. If There Is An Emergency
