Clinical Medical Assistant
This Clinical Medical Assistant Clerk one semester, 2-subject program is designed to prepare students for employment as a Medical Assistant in a hospital, medical care center, medical clinic or doctor's office. Students will gain an understanding of medical office procedures, body systems, and patient customer service. The course includes classroom instruction with hands-on training and online assignments.
This program covers: Customer service for patients; Medical Office Management; Insurance Billing; Medical Computer Software Application; Ethical and Legal Issues; HIPAA Requirements; Employability Skills; Pharmacology; Medical Terminology; and Anatomy & Physiology.
At the end of this one semester program, Clinical Medical Assistant Students will receive a Clinical Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion and be ready to work immediately as a Medical Assistant in a hospital, medical care center, medical clinic or doctor's office.
Medical Terminology with Anatomy & Physiology is a pre-requisite course. It may be taken concurrently in the same semester.
