AEA Negotiation Updates

  • December Updates

    December 6. 2021 - The District received AEA’s second counter-proposal on salary and benefits. The District provided AEA with its third compensation proposal that included the District’s agreement to AEA’s increase to the District’s contribution to medical benefits by $1,500 and an on-schedule salary increase of 2.25% retroactive to July 1, 2021.  The District also provided AEA with a counter to AEA’s proposal to increase the hourly rate for replacement services 2021-2022.  The District’s counter-proposal included an increase of the hourly rate for replacement services from $38.27/hour to $50/hour.  AEA responded to the counter-proposal with a second proposal.

  • November Updates

    November 3, 2021 –The District received AEA’s counter-proposal on salary and benefits and provided AEA with its second proposal to increase the District’s contribution to medical benefits by $1,500 and an on-schedule salary increase of 1.5% retro-active to July 1, 2021.  The District also provided AEA with proposal number two regarding BCLAD stipends.  The District received AEA proposals regarding Extra Pay Assignments, Presidential Release, and increasing the hourly rate for 2021-2022 for unit members who provide replacement services.

  • October Updates

    October 15, 2021 – The District provided AEA with an initial proposal on salary and benefits.  The District proposed a 47% increase to the District’s contribution to medical benefits and a 1% on-schedule salary increase retroactive to July 1, 2021.  The District also proposed changes to the BCLAD stipend and adding a Dual Immersion stipend.
